Effective Public Speaking
This eight-hour, in person, professional enhancement workshop is designed to provide 911 professionals with the foundational skills to become more effective presenters of information in small settings, workplace meetings, and large forums. This workshop focuses on three specific types of presentations: spontaneous, extemporaneous, and prepared-informative presentations. The students in this class will learn by practicing skills and receiving immediate feedback. The 911 professionals who attend this workshop will gain competence and build confidence by using non-verbal communication to enhance the delivery of their message, learning how to plan and prepare for a presentation, and how to objectively evaluate their presentations in order to work toward constant improvement. There are not an overwhelming amount of leadership conferences specific to 911. Of those that exist, few are taught by women. When over 70% of 911 professionals are women, there is a huge need for women to share their leadership perspectives. This two-day conference focusses on leadership skills in 911 and beyond and is taught by women who have been in leadership positions and have so much knowledge to share.
There is a leader in all of us. Regardless of our age, our title, or our current position. But sometimes it's hard to develop the skills to become a better leader when our jobs are so intense, the hours are long, and the rest is rare. Sometimes we are thrown into leadership roles without training or tools to utilize to be successful. In order to bring that leader out, we need to continue to learn new techniques, hear other stories, and develop those skills to make a difference in 911.

Host an ENP Retreat with expert instructor, Ty Wooten, ENP and the 911der Women Team and help the 911 Professionals in your area prepare to take the next step in their career!
Have you been interested in earning your Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification but don't know where to start? Or, have you started the study process and need an in-person infusion of knowledge from an expert instructor? Or, do you want to expand your knowledge of the 911 system in order to advance your career or gain a better understanding of the big picture of the job you do? Well, this class is for you!
The ENP is a National Emergency Number Association (NENA) certification that allows you to demonstrate your mastery of knowledge related to the 911 profession. This certification encompasses a wide body of knowledge that is not typically taught in 911 training at centers. By achieving this certification you can establish yourself as a subject matter expert in your field, advance your career, or go on to train others in 911. For more information on this certification, check out NENA's website.
Even if you don't plan to sit for the ENP exam to gain certification, the information taught in this class will be incredibly helpful for you to gain a larger understanding of the 911 system and contribute to your own expertise.
